Hey, I just received my EDU license but when I try to deploy to Glitch it still says that I dont have a license to do it? I understood that student license has everything Pro license has(?).

So is there a way for me to deploy my projects to "somewhere" so I dont need to have the server running on my PC?

From blender you can directly deploy to needle cloud. Alternatively you can build to disc and upload to your ftp server if you have one for example

Alright, was there a limit for how many projects I can upload to Needle cloud? Realistically I would need around maybe 5 projects but I would like to play around first so I know how things work.

So if the limit is 1, I dont waste it by uploading cube to cloud 😄

There isnt a project limit, just a total size limit (check your cloud team page for limits)

Ohh by the way. Is it "normal" that Blender 4.5.5 becomes a bit slower after installing Needle plugin? I rarely get crashes but sometimes pressing control + z crashes my Blender. Pretty much just general lag inside blender. I got beefy PC so that shouldnt be the problem. (i9 14900k, RTX 4090, 32gb DDR5 ram, etc.) I´d like to know if its normal to occur lag while using the plug-in.

This all happens when Needle is installed, if uninstalled the lag spikes and crashes stop straight up.

I will get back to you tomorrow after checking back with the team. I thought this performance issue should have been fixed and rolled out but maybe it hasn't shipped yet.

Do you think you could DM me a screencapture so it's clear what's visible on screen/which panels are open? It might help with debugging.

Apologies for keeping you waiting. Im not really sure should I record or not as this is really hard to explain via video because you really cant see on screen when do I click and how long the delay is.

But in short; some buttons inside Blender takes a short delay when pressed and also lag spikes here and there.

If the video is crucial for you and the team, I can go ahead and just record something.

If you could pinpoint the buttons maybe it helps as well e.g. with screenshots and some annotations. Doesnt have to be a video if you say you cant record the issue.

The next update should already improve on some issues you reported (hopefully the crash, seems to be caused by export+undo where blender seems to choke trying to undo an deleted object)

Hey, I disabled the plug-in yesterday as I had to work on some heavy stuff so it wouldnt bother my workflow. Im going to download the newest version later today when I wrap things up on this project. What comes to the lag spikes, the worst ones happened when I was browsing "preferences" / add-ons. And also everytime I opened "scene properties" where all the needle settings are tweaked(image).

I will get back to you to see if the performance is still the same!

I should also add the I have two versions of Blender on my machines (4.5.3 and 4.5.5). When I was starting with Needle Engine I accidently installed the plug in on the wrong version of Blender. Im not entirely sure what eventually helped with the biggest lag spikes but I uninstalled the plug-in and opened the 4.5.5 version which I had just downloaded only to see that the plug-ins that I had on my previous version was already there, installed(I didnt know blender carry over plug-ins)

Is there a possibility that Blender created some files for the older version and when I installed it on the newer version it didn't completely remove the old plugin files? (I honestely have little to no I idea what I am talking but brainstorming some ideas lol)
