🧡#Blender deployement

Yes, it might be that your scene is too large. Can you check the logs on your glitch edit page?

marwi123

Glitch has an upper limit to about 30-40 mb.

But for previewing you can also use the local server. Did you try that? Or do you want to share it with others?

marwi123

When it was blank did the console window print any error?

Can you send a screenshot from the console in browser + the directory where your web project is in?

marwi123

I didn't mean the blender console, there is a terminal or console window open when you start the local server. It might be minimized

Nothing really happened on screen when I took any of the actions under the needle engine, if I deploy the glitch its the sandbox file

marwi123

Ok so something broke during installation. Try closing the server and deleting the node_modules folder AND the package.lock.json (NOT package.json !!! πŸ™‚ ) in the web directory

heathbr

I tried m y laptop with a different blender file and when I view live from glitch its still the sandbox

heathbr

I’ll check that out! I’m looking to build a sandbox of sorts, something similar to the cactus scene but just trying to learn the workflow for now then start adding some complexity. Ideally I’d like to build different scenes and be able to save/ come back to modify

marwi123

<@269908931105652747> it seems like there was a bug in the publish process and an invalid version got published. I’m very sorry - a new version will be available shortly

marwi123

Please click Install Preview Server in Blender and then start your server again. It should install the right version then and work

heathbr

Thanks! The issue was the server was already running something, so I guess I have to kill the server before previewing in browser

heathbr

Or does the install preview server create a new instance on local host? Is it possible to have multiple projects open simultaneously?

marwi123

You have to stop the server (using the Stop Server button) yes.

It's possible to run multiple projects if you modify the port in the vite.config.js file that is inside each of your web projects - but honestly I've never tested this with the Blender addon (theoretically you could also just navigate to each web project and run npm start in the directory to start the local server with the port you configured if you need that for some reason)
